Friends of the Beck (Driffield)
Aim to create a wildlife corridor along the banks of the beck which runs through the heart of the brilliant town of driffield. We also plan to expand our area to cover the whole town and hopefully encouraging wildlife. Our goal is to make the town more appealing to residents, visitors and wildlife whilst acting as a catalyst for regeneration and investment.

Sanctuary Shaftesbury Reading
This estate clean up was organised by Matt Evans, Housing Officer of the area, and involved staff from the local Office, and contractors. The clean up involved clearing communal areas inside the flats, garages and the outside area. Going forward, it is hoped that a Residents Association will be formed, that will carry out litter picks and maybe start up a weekly gardening club.

The Litter-Free Guiseley Campaign
Our group hates the way that litter blights the environment. We understand that Council services cannot resolve the problem alone, so we put something back into our community by tackling the issue head-on. Our main aim is to keep the streets, lanes and green spaces of Guiseley, West Yorkshire, clear of litter. Occasionally, we cross over into Menston and Otley. A combination of high profile, regular litter picks and liaison with key groups - Leeds City Council, Morrisons and Guiseley School - helps to keep on top of the problem. Emails and phonecalls to key groups enable speedy action, but active litter pickers interested in making a contribution to improving their own locality are always welcome! We are looking for more active support from the residents of Guiseley. Volunteers can either just adopt their own patch or team up with other volunteers. Hours totally flexible - whatever suits you. Equipment and advice are provided free of charge! We cover different parts of Guiseley and we are collecting upwards of 100 bags of litter a month. Please support us in whatever capacity you can.
