Communications and Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
Hey, I’m Christine, Communications and Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
I have 15 years of experience working with purpose-driven organisations, growing brands from inception to award-winning. My career has combined creativity, strategic thinking and a love for nature, working with organisations including The Future Forest Company, UNDO Carbon, Trees Not Tees, Planet Patrol and Joanie Clothing B-Corp to create campaigns and content that inspire sustainable, positive environmental action.
For me, litter is about much more than rubbish on our streets. It contributes to biodiversity loss, breaks down into harmful microplastics that pollute our rivers and oceans and reflects the wider societal and climate challenges we face. I believe cleaner neighbourhoods improve wellbeing, helping people feel safer, healthier and more connected to where they live.
I regularly take part in litter-picks around Burnage and Levenshulme in Manchester, where I’ve seen first-hand how small acts of care can bring neighbours together, build community pride and inspire change. I’m excited to help share CleanupUK’s stories, celebrate our volunteers and encourage more people to get involved in creating cleaner, greener communities.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me tending to my garden, hunting for antiques or covered in paint and dust renovating our home.
