Clean Our Patch CIC

Clean Our Patch CIC (COP) evolved from a frustrated couple who decided to do something about the litter piling up on their local streets. It has become a full-blown community of like-mined individuals being given the opportunity to clean up the litter that blights their streets.
Since March 2018, we’ve collectively filled over 75000 bags of litter across the city of Plymouth and South Hams. We have founded over 43 groups that host litter picks on a regular basis in their areas. These litter picks are run by community Ambassadors who strive to create grass-roots change. They are also activity working with 47 schools.

We have been registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) since 2019.
Our teams litter pick every week across these urban and rural communities, collecting from pavements, hedges, drains, embankments, parks, woodlands, waterways and along the beautiful coast.
We do this because we are passionate about improving our environment and wish to educate our communities about the damage single-use plastics and other disposable materials can cause to the planet, mental wellbeing and wildlife. Improving the environment has an amazing impact on biodiversity and brings a sense of pride back to disparate communities bringing people together to tackle an issue that has perviously been overlooked.
