Dakok Support Centre

We are members of a registered charity (charity number: 1101592) dedicated to serving the Kurdish community in the UK, with a focus on providing support to individuals with immigration backgrounds. Our mission is to make Scotland a cleaner and healthier place to live through promoting and organising litter picking events in Glasgow.

As part of our commitment to the environment and community, we organise at least one litter picking event each month, with plans to increase frequency as our charity group grows. These events are exclusive to our charity members, ensuring responsible organisation and participation. While our events are for adults only, children are welcome if accompanied by a guardian who has signed our declarations.

Participants will receive their equipment from Community Hubs across Glasgow, and upon signing up, they will receive guidance on litter picking protocols and safety measures. Refreshments will be served at the end of each event as a token of appreciation for our volunteers' hard work.

Communication and coordination among members are facilitated through our dedicated member groups on social media platforms.
