The Dorothy Parkes Litter Pickers

On the first Saturday of the month at 10am, volunteers come together to pick litter. Meeting at The Dorothy Parkes Centre then heading to Stanhope Road to litter pick along the beautiful Thimblemill Brook and surrounding roads.

We provide gloves, bags, and litter pickers.

After your hard work, join us back at the centre for a free hot drink as a small thank you for your time and effort.

Litter picking isn’t just about tidying streets, it protects wildlife, reduces pollution, and helps create a safer, more welcoming environment for everyone. It’s also a great way to meet neighbours and get some fresh air and exercise while giving back to the community.
