Started with 1st litter pick 18 Feb 2024, and covering from Gordon Hill Station up Lavender Hill to The Ridgeway, including Shooters Road and Albuhera Close. Offshoot from the Lancaster Road to Gordon Hill Station group. Meet at corner of Shooters Road 9.30 Sunday on monthly dates published on social media and our WhatsApp group. Equipment provided, and all welcome!
I started litter picking after a memorial litter pick for my step mother in law in Halesworth, which was great fun!

The Team collected 9 green bags and 4 nitrous oxide cylinders, as well as taking away dumped cardboard packaging left at our collection point by kind local donors. Luckily they left their address labels on the packaging , so we will be able to thank them properly 🙄 there was also concrete and bricks fly tipped there - hopefully Street Cleansing will deal with it too 🤞 Big Thanks to Anil, Bobbie and Gordana today 👏👏

Many thanks to the ‘core’ team who turned out in spite of rhe rain warnings - Anil, Chris, Bobbie, Gordana, Jasper and I - 16 bags collected, 4 nitrous oxide cylinders and a dumped suitcase from Hunters Way ( I cleared that road up to the bus stop) - well done everyone, that’s 208 bags since we started Feb last year! 👏👏❤️

Low attendance ? as it’s Father’s Day. As well as the 8 bags, we collected 1 hubcap, 2 nitrous oxide cylinders, 1 collapsing chair, assorted wood and hardboard. Special mention to Bobbie and Gordana who gathered the majority of litter - from Shooters Road field and the hospital EV charging car park 👏👏👏

A good result in spite of it being Easter Sunday. Litter generally seemed less, although Nitrous Oxide cylinders aplenty (12!) found in the field off Shooters Road.

Upper Lavender Hill, and also covering Shooters Road, Comreddy Close, Albuhera Close, Hardy Way and Hunters Way. As well as our 14 bags, there were no,less than FIFTEEN Nitrous Oxide cylinders - obviously the party season has started! 🤡 There was also a fly tipped large TV package stuffed with rubbish - which was reported to Enfield Council street cleansing as had owner’s address still attached!

A great turn out for the start of our 2nd year of monthly litter picks! 18 bags for collection by street cleansing (4 from previous solo picks) plus a personal shopping trolley frame brought back by young Vivian, and two nitrous oxide cylinders. Once again we welcomed our friends from MCGI church in Southfields, Wandsworth, who came up by train to take part, and also take photos and a video interview to encourage participation in their area.

a couple of hot spots filled multiple bags; several bags were from solo picks before today. Also 8 large nitrous oxide canisters, 3 ruined umbrellas and some long lengths of plastic. One of the team loaded her bags into her car to drop off at the pick up point, and was spoken to by a passing Council person who thought she was fly tipping! All sorted out easily though 😂

A great job by the 8 who turned up in what turned out to be perfect conditions for the last litter pick of the year! As well as the 20 bags, 1 nitrous oxide canister, 1 old brolly, 1 old mop, 1 plastic box 1 sapling post and a firework launch tube were collected. It was particularly heartwarming to have 3 visitors from MCGI church in the Southfields area in Wandsworth, who drove up to Enfield to gain experience and learn the ropes, with the intention of setting up their own group in South London.
