Wellgate Community Farms Young Farmers Club, Staff and volunteers making our community a cleaner healthier and kinder place to live. We will be holding our first litter pick 28th July 2024, meeting at Wellgate Farm at 11:00am till 2:pm. Picking the roads around the farm and as far as we can go around Collier row. Volunteers welcome. We recently had one of our Young farmers win the Jack Petchey Eco award and we were thus inspired by his activities such as getting a recycling bin in every classroom in his school, animal rights activities, helping in a soup kitchen during the holidays and also litter picking. The Young farmers club (age ranges from 8 to 16) decided that we could all help by organising a litter pick ourselves. Please do come and join us we will be serving tea and cake at the farm as a thank you.
