Today we done a litter pick around Crossways Park, Lotus Way, Midway, Brooklands sea front, the beach along the sea wall and the Sunspot. A big thanks to Dennis Webb, Andrea Thompson, Bev, Bill, Phillip, Stacey and Reform Cllr Bradley Thompson For West Clacton And Jaywick Sands. We collected 60 bags worth of litter. We have not done a litter pick in these areas for 6 weeks. It was nice to see so many ducks at Crossways park enjoying the river. There are a few items in river, these will be removed when the weather is a little warmer for us to go into the water. We have noticed there is a few fly tips that need addressing. Some are on private land and some are on Tendring District Council land. Cllr Thompson will be chasing this up. A big thank you to CleanUp Uk for all the equipment and also Tendring District Council for supplying all the litter picking bags and arranging collection of the litter pick. If anyone would like to use any litter picking equipment, please contact Jaywick Sands Community Forum to arrange this as they are a hub for CleanUp Uk.
