"Becoming a litter pick hub has been a natural progression of our grass roots community engagement, focused towards real life improvements! We are passionate about our environment and want to support others in making a difference.

Litter pick equipment kits for both children and adults can be borrowed from the centre throughout the year. Please just give them a call to start your own local litter pick.
Picks can occur often or you could just do a one off...there are no rules or expectations and any action to reduce litter is what we are aiming for.
Equipment available includes litter pickers, bags, bag hoops, high vis vests, protective gloves and a how to guide.

🌿 A huge thank you to our amazing Alkrington Litter Pick Group! 🌿
This week, five dedicated volunteers collected 8 bags of rubbish, gathered 1 box of cannisters, and reported crates and boxes showing signs of fire damage — now passed on to Rochdale Council for action. Your hard work keeps Alkrington and Middleton cleaner, safer, and greener — we’re so grateful for all you do! 💚
