2025 was a year of meaningful impact for us at CleanupUK. From recruiting Community Champions and local Cleanup Hubs to growing partnerships across the country, our 2025 Impact Report reflects the power of people coming together to tackle litter and protect our environment.

Litter-picking is about more than cleaning our neighbourhoods, it is a practical way for people to take action for the environment, build pride in their local area and connect with others in their community. In 2025, we worked alongside local people, particularly in areas where the need is greatest, rolling up our sleeves to deliver lasting environmental and social impact.

In 2025, the collective efforts of community members and corporate volunteers achieved measurable results:

  • 1,444 corporate volunteers took part in CleanupUK activities
  • 16,390 bags of litter were collected
  • 124,454 kg of waste was removed through combined corporate and community action
  • 21,953 kg of CO₂e savings were achieved

The figures in the CleanupUK 2025 Impact Report represent far more than statistics, they reflect shared effort, renewed pride and the visible transformation of public spaces.

George Monck, Chief Executive at CleanupUK, said:

"2025 has been an inspiring year for CleanupUK. Together, we are not only creating cleaner local areas but building stronger, more connected communities. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this year’s impact."

The CleanupUK 2025 Impact Report demonstrates what is possible when communities are empowered and supported to take practical action.
