Volunteers from EY have worked with CleanupUK to help make a difference to their local community.

In September, a team from EY's Birmingham office took part in a litter-pick at Aston Park - a 43-acre green space that attracts over 150,000 visitors every year.

Teaming up to tackle litter and create ripples
The litter had become a challenge at the park but CleanupUK, alongside 31 volunteers from EY, collected 43 bags of litter on the day. One of the EY volunteers, Emma, said she "enjoyed meeting up with colleagues outside of the office environment and doing something positive for the local community”.

A Brighter Future
The event is one of the many volunteering events organised byCleanupUK across the country and demonstrates the positive impact of corporate-community collaboration.

It serves as a testament to the power of collective action in shaping a brighter future, with the potential to create cleaner, more compassionate communities, one park at a time.

Will Earthy, Senior, at EY commented: “Accelerating environmental sustainability is one of the key focus areas for EY Ripples, our global Corporate Responsibility programme. It was great to see so many of our people making such a positive impact on their local community.”
