We understand that litter picking can feel overwhelming, but you're not alone. We're here to help you and believe that anyone can make a difference. We encourage litter picking in groups, and we always think a good litter pick is best ended with a chat and a snack & because who doesn't love cake?
What we do
We support communities to come together and form locally led litter picking initiatives to tackle the litter problem in their neighbourhood and strengthen their community. We do this by:
- Setting up Cleanup hubs in the most littered communities
- Supporting community litter picking groups to start, grow, or sustain their activities by providing information and advice
- Creating an online network for litter pickers across the UK to share ideas and celebrate their achievements.
Picture this.
You walk through your front door and there's mugs on the table, crumbs on the sofa and dirty socks scattered on the floor. How do you feel? To us, the outdoors is no different. Millions of pieces of litter are dropped in the UK every day costing taxpayers almost £1 billion a year in England. Like our living rooms, tidy spaces make us feel better! Our goal is to make everyone feel good about where they live and their local area.
