It's that time of year again ! Oldbury Clean Team is again planning a village cleanup on the day before Mothers' Day, Saturday 2nd April - please help us to give Oldbury a make-over so that our mums will be proud to live in the village. We’ll meet at The Pound at 10.30am, spend an hour and a half picking up all the rubbish that’s been dropped around Oldbury and then celebrate with a BBQ, free to all participants, with burgers and sausages kindly donated by The Anchor. Mothers, fathers and family all welcome. See you there ! .

ECOLOGISERS
We want to get beyond litter picking (though we still do it) and we seek to educate the younger generation through running humorous photographic contests on an anti-litter theme, school visits, and publicity on the issue generally This year we are running Litter Goes Literary, a photographic contest for young people (free entry) who must submit a humourly captioned photo from a litter pick, along with an ecologised version of one verse of a favourite song.

We believe in the limitless potential in every child and Seek to open avenues in all fields of experience in order to engage and inspire our cohort. We are currently using our Eco club and wardens projects to engage our students with their own thoughts, feelings and in being mindful through gardening, planting and creating green spaces our Volunteer Litter picks help children consider their place within our wider community and human's relationship and interdependence with the world and the environment.
