Family Litter Pick on Blackpool Beach

Promenade, Blackpool FY1 5AA, UK

07 Aug 2021

19:30

Having previously been on two seaside breaks in the UK over the last 12 months we we appalled at the amount of rubbish on the beaches at the end of the day. For this break we decided to swap our evening stroll for an evening litter pick and bought some pickers and bin bags to take on the trip. We had a great time educating our daughter about the importance of keeping the beach tidy. We managed to almost completely clear the main steps opposite the tower all the way to the pier..

Middlewich Clean Team
The Middlewich Clean Team was set up with the basic intention of keeping our town litter free. However we now do much more as we have an education programme working in all of our schools and pre-school groups and have carried out a number of environmental projects. We have a small committee and well over 100 members. Litter picking is undertaken by all members, either by joining a group litter pick or simply by keeping an area litter free. We have also worked with Government Departments on controlling ant-social behaviour and very recently, several of our members qualified as Community Crime Fighters and have been involved in the restorative justice system. We help set up other Clean Teams nationally and are the Mother Clean Team to some of the other organisations included on this site.

Falkland Road Litter Pickers
We are taking litter picking in to our own hands. We are fed up with plastic bags and rubbish littering our streets, blowing in to our gardens and spoiling our pavements. We are proud of where we live and want to encourage others to care for our streets as we do. Our vision is for a clean environment for our families and friends. We are an open group and welcome anyone to join.
