Bearpark's Summer Sweep Litterpick will be held on SATURDAY 25 JULY 2015 at 10.00 a.m. Attendees are to meet at Beaurepaire Communal Hall for 10 a.m. Refreshments in the Communal Hall afterwards (around 11 a.m.) Residents of all ages, along with your local parish councillors armed themselves with gloves, hi-viz vests, litter picks and rubbish sacks on Saturday 22 July. We covered the area around Beaurepaire Communal Hall. One elderly local resident said it was nice to see the parish council taking some positive action and know that people DO care about the village. It was really heartening to see the kids making a difference to where they live..

Sandbach Clean Team
The group now has over 100 members. It organises monthly litter picks, and members also litter pick in their own local areas.

An important part of our work is with young people. We have met with Junior schools, Brownies and Cubs, and talked about the reduction of litter and recycling.

We liaise with other environmental groups in the area, particularly those with similar aims to ours and we work closely with the local Borough Council.

We have a website:- www.sandbach-cleanteam.co.uk

Northern Slopes
We hold a weekly Green Gym session where we litter pick and do low key enhancements to the nature area. Litter and fly tipping has been a major problem over the years but since we started the group over 6 years ago the site is a lot cleaner. Other users tend to pick as they go too.
