BITMO’s GATE is a community centre welcoming Belle Isle households and their families to spend time with other residents in the GATE. You can enjoy a warm drink and access the Wi-Fi and computers. We have a programme of activities each week and offer free food and activities in every school holiday We also serve a family meal after school on Tuesdays and provide a 'pay if you can' breakfast served by our community kitchen volunteers every Friday. Plenty of other activities happening around the area to get involved in too, get in touch to find out more.
Equipment available includes litter pickers, bags, bag hoops, high vis vests, protective gloves and a how to guide.

Today's litter picking focused mainly on belle isle circus. The pickers did an absolutely brilliant job of filling purple bags. They managed 12 bags and bits of metal scattered around, making belle isle a safer place. After all their hard work they joined us in the gate for toasties and a cup of tea.

Saturday the 17th of Jan there was a fantastic littler pick on New Hall road behind windmill school, it is sad to say there was a lot of work to do but the litter pickers did an amazing job, a total of 32 bags collected. After they were able to come back to the belle isle gate for a cup of tea and a toastie during the repair cafe.

BITMO were pleased to host 28 young people from Places for People's "Emerging Talent" programme. Places for People have about 150 homes in Belle Isle and their team. It was a pleasure to lend out equipment for their litter picking morning in Belle Isle.

The Great Belle Isle Litter pick. Staff from BITMO joined Litter Free Leeds and people in the community to clean up the streets and planters located on Windmill Road and East Grange Drive. We split up into teams and collected a total of 30 bags.

The incredible Cubs from the 3rd South Leeds & Morley Middleton Scout group took to the area around Newhall Road, LS10 3RR for a litter pick. Armed with litter pickers, bags, and big smiles, the young environmental champions worked tirelessly to make the local area cleaner and greener.
The area looks fantastic, and it's all thanks to our dedicated Cubs!
