Roses are red Violets are blue What would Hilly Fields and EN2 do without angels like you! 💖🙏🏻💖 An unexpected and incredible pick today with 40 bags collected, 5 newbies, a few less regular families. Thank you all so much, it was wonderful. A special huge thank you to four of our regulars who went above and beyond and cleared this up from Glenville Road. Whoever did this should be utterly ashamed of yourselves, because of you our children and pets were put in danger. How dare you think this behaviour is permitted in our community.

10 December 2023

Well that’s it 2023 is officially all litter picked out (we wish!). A massive thank you to everyone not only for today but always. It is because of you that our lovely EN2 is cleaner and our children are learning how to be kind and respectful Earth Angels. It was only right that Father Christmas came to say an extra special thank you. About 35 people came today and I believe they collected 20 bags of rubbish. I didn’t get a photo as Enfield Council were super prompt and took all the bags away before I got one. However, we did bump into Richard and his group of litter pickers who pick Forty Hill and the surrounding area. They came and joined us! With special thanks as ever to; The Rose and Crown, EN2 9AJ for hosting and all they do to support us and enhance our local community. We are incredibly lucky to have you in our community. A&R Designs and Botany Bay Farm and Shop for all your support buying the gifts. We couldn’t do it without you. To my extra special Enfield Council staff who are just phenomenal in the support they give to me and to our group. Your had work and support does not go unnoticed. Wishing you all the most blessed Christmas and an utterly beautiful 2024. Life is so short so be kind to each other and another Earth. If you would like to join the best community group in Enfield (I am biased but it is true 🤭) please see attached poster or get in touch. 🙏🏻

19 November 2023

On Sunday the 2023 penultimate community litterpicking occurred in Hilly Fields and the local area and 10 large sacks of rubbish were collected. Next April we are 5 and in this time the last year has seen a phenomenal rise in dumping. There are so many reasons as to why this is occurring, but in my humble opinion residents have to take responsibility and stop treating Enfield as a large bin. From bags of household rubbish to mounds of unwanted furniture we are starting to live in an unsightly neighbourhood. This team of Earth Angels continue to do their bit not only one Sunday a month but every single day. These people deserve the loudest of cheers for the hundreds of hours volunteering they undertake trying to keep EN2 beautiful and safe from those who have no respect for our community and open spaces. Thank you for all you do. 🙏🏻

‘I was working in Hilly Fields late early in the morning light. When my eyes beheld an eerie sight For some dirty monsters fcame out from their vans and car and began to dump their rubbish near and far. And suddenly to my surprise. 15 Earth Angels dressed for Halloween appeared and did an hour long dash. They did the litter picking mash, it was a Lavender Hill graveyard smash They did the mash, they caught all 15 bags of rubbish in a flash They did the mash, but they didn’t take cash!’

16 July 2023

With The Gregory gang hosting our super world famous The Friends of Hilly Fields band stand summer event next Sunday, it was time for 30 EN2 Earth Angels to done their pickers and get out and clean up the local area. A phenomenal 27 full bags of rubbish, estate agent boards and a microwave were collected. A large number of cupboards were tidied and reported to the council too! It may be a never ending task but because of these amazing humans Hilly Fields and the area between Browning Road, Lancaster Road and Brigadier Hill looks much more inviting today. If everyone picked up just one piece of litter a day just imagine how beautiful Mother Earth would be 🙏🏻❤️

As ever a huge thank you for the 30+ people, Archie, Gracie and Floyd the dogs who came to our litter pickers today to tidy Hilly Fields and the surrounding streets. Have to say that we struggled to find anyway. 20 bags were collected but these were half full. However, if we all inspire one more person not to dump and pick up one piece of litter each day then we have succeeded. If you would like help setting up a group please do ask as I’ll happily help anyone 🙏🏻

EN2 Dad’s were honoured today for all that they do to educate their children on how to be good people, how to be kind to Enfield’s green spaces (take note Enfield Council), and how to create civic pride and community spirit. They all reviewed hero stickers on this extra special Father’s Day litter picker of Hilly Foelds and the surrounding streets. 20 people collected 20 NO2 bottles, fencing, kids toys, cabinets and nearly 30 bags of rubbish. Phenomenal work on a day that Private Eye published a piece on the disgraceful behaviour of Enfield Council and THFC. If you would like to join the best community group in EN2 (ok I am biased), we would love meet you. Just get in touch 🙏🏻❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
