Day 3 for Leo - 6 Bags!’ I Started at the Plains of Waterloo today, which was the dirtiest area I've covered so far. Big up Jones and everyone there for the kind words and encouragement, it really kept me going. The heat made today a tough one, but I pushed through. Three days down, four to go. Every bag collected is another step towards a cleaner Ramsgate and one step closer to Costa Rica. 6 bags today! Geoff, Some from aound the tennis courts, the rest from palm bay beach. Several disposable barbecues.

Leo, Day 2 and 7 bags this time. My day started at Ellington Park, where i spent the first 2 hours and three bin bags (And met a nice rubbish truck driver). The last 3 hours i spent tidying pie factory, the park behind it and various streets in my neighbourhood. Met a few people who thanked me for my efforts. Leo Emma, 9 bags collected yesterday (1 wasn't mine). 4 collected from New Haine Road towards Toby Carvery, and 3 from New Cross Road by Sainsbury's...again!! Lots of perfectly good kids bikes and kids bedroom furniture chucked in hedge 🤬🤬. Pretty sure some of the workmen are responsible for the mess. 1 from across field to Pysons Road, some from Pysons Road and by woodyard. 1 from West Dumpton Lane. Madeleine, Morning litter pickers! 🌞 2 bags this morning, one from the beach in front of the esplanade car park tidying up bbq debris, plates, cups etc. Second bag filled in King George Memorial Park 🍀💚 Geoff, Dumpton gap beach along to main sands car park. Mick and Mandy 5 bags from the Woodford wombles today 😎🌞. 2 bags from the jumbo both sides of Margate Rd to Coleman crescent. 3 bags from Coleman crescent Park. Eleanor, Area picked: Military Road from where burnt out vehicles are up to start of the Marina And Area picked: Royal Harbour Approach at Western Undercliff and beaches at Undercliff Serayna 1 bag Plains of Waterloo La Belle Alliance Square Elizabeth Road Wellington Crescent Green around the Bandstand left by bin on Marina Road/ Victoria Parade

Leo, Heres Leo’s update Day 1 and 5 bags filled. London road can thank me later. The biggest surprise wasn't the amount of litter I collected, it was the pattern. The vast majority of everything I picked up was either disposable vapes, Red Bull cans or fast-food packaging. After a while, it almost felt like I was collecting the same three things over and over again. It was a real eye-opener and shows just how much these everyday items are impacting our streets, parks and beaches (rather than just our health). Leo

Steve litter picked Winterstoke Gardens and local area. 1 bag waste, 1 bag cans and bottles recycled. Mother lode of cans found in the Gardens, hidden in the shrubbery. Dozens of Aldi lager cans (classy!) Loads of shiny, red, plastic-y strips discarded around the Granville.

Will get out and move the fridge at some point to be collected....amazes me that noone sees or hears a fridge freezer being dragged into an alleyway 🤬🤬🤬

St Lukes Ave from St Lukes store to Boundary Park, Dumpton Park Rd, Dane Rd, Church Rd. Spoke to the Manager in Home Bargains, she is going to get someone to litter pick there Boundary as really bad on the Hardres St side. 🙃 Mick, Nethercourt Park Bev, 1 bag from Elms avenue, Beresford road, Clarendon gardens, Tomsons passage and alleyway between Richmond and Ellington road which is very overgrown!! Emma H, I officially dislike the human race and seagulls 🤣 6 bags today. 3 from Hereson Road, Boundary Park end. I then made the mistake of going to Boundary Park and collected another 3 bags, blankets, bike tyres and an office chair that looked like it had been through a shredder 🤬🤬🤬 Flytipping reported.

Shocked to meet a contractor litter collector who would not pick litter one millimeter beyond his boundary as its "not his job". Seriously!!!!!🤬🤬 Needless to say...he won't be making the Christmas card list 🤣

Becky and Friends 19 Bags of stuff weeds, rubble, soil and rubbish from Cornhill we are slowly making it a much safer, greener and a welcoming alley. All it takes is people power and it is catching, it brings neighbours together promoting friendship and positive well-being. Another alley that was in a shocking state taking shape. Unknown person, Ramsgate Rd. Emna H, 4 bags in total collected to include 2 bags of general waste and 2 bags of green waste. 1 bag of general waste recycled 😁 Flytipped general waste rebagged at top of Shirley Avenue...lots of maggots 😡 2 bags of green waste collected by Premier Stores on West Dumpton Lane following some recent work... why can't people clear up after themselves!!!! Flytipped creosote reported.

Mary, Cliffs End to Lord of the Manor Mick and Mandy 5 bags from the Woodford wombles today 🤣😎.1 bag from Woodford avenue to Nixon avenue . 1 bag from Nixon avenue to Hurst Grove. 1 bag from Hurst Grove to the warre rec. 1 bag from around the warre rec. 1 bag from the warre rec to the station. And the Viaduct Bin area Julian, Canterbury Road East and government acre Dawn, 5 bags Boundary Park, and by Home Bargains. The whole of Boundary Park was covered in bottles and other rubbish. I did by the side of Home Bargains, luckily the lovely bin men turned up and took my bags and the boxes that were by Home Bargains.
