Steve litter picked Winterstoke Gardens and local area. 1 bag waste, 1 bag cans and bottles recycled. Summer has officially started. Very odd. One bin empty, the next full of domestic waste (egg shells, onion skins, nappies, you know the drill), the next bin empty. You think they’d spread it around a bit. It doesn’t take much domestic waste to fill a bin.

Shaun, In margate today from the Britannia pub car park and pathway Mick and Amanda, 3 bags total 1 bag from Woodford avenue, bottom of Margate Rd and cleaned the viaduct up again as household rubbish in the bushes 😡. 1 bag from princes rd, around the station along the footpath by the red arrow club and Newington bridge. 1 bag from the kids play area in the warre rec again 🤬. Been wombling again 🤣. Emma, 3 bags in total. 😍 Look how beautiful this is....I have the pleasure of backing onto this field 😍 The paths and hedges used to look like a council tip but now it's a delight to walk through and enjoy. Only one bag of rubbish collected from all the way across the fields and both sides of Pysons Road 😁👍 The other 2 were collected from Pysons Road Industrial Estate and inside the fencing by Bookers. MORE GOOD NEWS - having chatted to the lovely Nick at Thanet Commercials this morning, he has offered to clear all the tyres at Prestedge Avenue that the council have failed to dispose of for months!! He states it costs him about £1 to dispose of each tyre therefore we have agreed that if he removes them for me I will donate the same cost to his.

Shaun, Chalk Hill to Sandwich Road, Wilfred Road, Station Road and the skate park. MENNO, the Royal Esplanade. The sea garden by the volunteers. Emma, Feeling demotivated today with the state of some areas of Thanet 😭 5 bags collected. 2 from Northwood Road and part of Margate Road and 3 from the green areas opposite Hare & Hounds Pub and by shops. It was an absolute disgrace!! Having spoken to the guy in the cafe, it would appear that not one shop on that parade picks litter up outside their shop 😭

Geoff, One sack is dumpton gap beach before tide came in, then over to palm bay beach. 2nd sack is the corner of the lido car park, before and after photos. Margate Town Council should be ashamed of themselves, been there for months. An epic walk from Nethercourt, up London Road, down Westcliff Road and then to the amazing lunch at Radford House in Effingham Street hosted by Maxine Morgan for Ramsgate Litter Pickers. A slower walk back (to walk off the chips and cake!) towards Nethercourt up Ellington Road and through Ashburnham and Southwood Gardens. 6000 odd steps and 4 miles later we picked 7 bag. Emma A further 9 bags collected from ditches in alleyway alongside Royal Harbour Academy. 📌Duvet 📌Kids play equipment 📌Carpet 📌Empty paint pots 📌Cones 📌Bike tyre 📌Child's car seat 📌Unused needles 📌Oh and the amazing Malcolm from TDC who took 3 bags and is collecting the rest later from Newlands Road and The Hive 👍😁 Mick, I just beat the rain and collected 1 bag of general rubbish and 1 bag of recycling from Nethercourt Park 😥 And 3 really lovely youngsters (2 girls and a boy) who turned up for a little picnic, with drinks and sweets, 🍫 put their wrappers & bottles in the bin 👏🥳👏 when they had finished. Well done them, so I told them that they get a star ⭐ for that 😂🥳👏👏 Unknown person, 2 bags, Ellington, Elms, Beresford, Richmond etc.
