It maybe summer holiday period for many of our usual Earth Angels but that did not stop 32 wonderful humans come together to celebrate CleanupUK ‘Love Nature Pick Litter Campaign. Our local litter picking and turtle saving hero Carole Smith Author read her new book to us and we had a great discussions surrounding how our actions here in EN2 is helping all wildlife, including turtles in the Indian Ocean. (Carole is available to attend other schools and child focused associations if you would like her to come visit). Today brought together new friends from across our beloved borough and an extra special guest Cllr Maxwell Day who as well as being an ‘EN2 boy’ is now our ward councillor. It was so important for us to be able to show our new councillors how important green spaces, community, safer streets and working together with Enfield Council are to us all. With ‘only’ 12 sacks of rubbish and seemingly a kitchen refit cleared Whitewebbs and Hilly Fields Parks were in immaculate condition before this afternoons Bandstand event. Thank you as ever to everyone who supports me and my vision to make Enfield greener, cleaner, safer and full of civic pride. Hilly Fields Neighbourhood Community Litter Picking would not be as successful as it is without you all. Nb September’s litter pick will now occur on Sunday 6th not the 13th as advertised.

Livestock 2026. It’s always the greatest honour to support the Livestock family to do what they do. It’s always my aim to leave Forty Hall Farm cleaner than we found it and this year the revellers made it easy work. 12 hour shift yesterday and two further hours this morning equalled 73 sacks of litter now in the skip! A huge thank you to the public who were seen not only using the bins provided by our lovely friends and supporters at A&R Designs a few years ago but picking up pint glasses dropped by others. This morning, giving back to Forty Hall estate two of us cleared a horrible mess on Forty Hill and litter picked throughout Forty Hall itself. Where you can please support the Black Barn events at the farm. We are so blessed to have them and children are welcomed.

25 wonderful Enfieldians came together this morning to collect 13 sacks of rubbish and a barrier. So lovely to get together and enjoy this gorgeous weather before our Hilly Fields bandstand event this afternoon. Another 3 bags were collected along the alley and 1 sack of rubbish at the bandstand during the event. Thank you as ever for all you do. 🙏🩷🙏

A huge thank you to everyone who came today and to little lady who joined us from Ealing. As my Dad would say ‘we are internationally famous in London!’ 27 wonderful humans and three dogs came together to collect 17 sacks of rubbish, a shopping basket and fencing. We celebrated all the men and Dad’s in our group who show the next generation how real men behave. We are so grateful for them and all that they do to keep protecting Mother Earth. You are all inspirational and our heroes. Thank you, as ever, to Enfield council who surprised us and came along to thank us in person for all the volunteering we do. It is so easy to say, ‘that’s the council’s job’, but in reality working together makes the greatest changes. We are so incredible grateful for the support we get from the council. So now our beloved Hilly Fields is ready to welcome all our visitors to the Bandstand Concert later today. 🙏
