Our SUPER Litter Picking club students were back at it again yesterday in the sunshine and windy weather! In just one bag alone, we counted and collected 1️⃣1️⃣1️⃣ cigarette butts on Broadoak Road. 🚭 This week's #randomfinds were a metal street cleaning brush, a very large (now rechargable) vape and a ping pong ball. We also spotted some plastic waste stuck down a drain that the students persevered to collect!

We couldn’t have a Beach Clean this month so 6 members of our committee did a ‘Hit Squad’ on Saturday morning. We targeted Queens Drive, where we collected a lot of litter, then went onto the beach at the lighthouse end. Thankfully the beach was pleasantly clean and we were able to rush back quickly as the heavens opened!
Next beach clean is planned for July 26th.
