🚯Weston Companions🚯 Good afternoon all . Another successful litter pick today on the Coronation Estate , Loxton Road shops area and surrounding by the Weston Companions . There can many reasons why people litter . It could be a lack of bins , or a lack of bins being emptied frequently enough , although not an excuse . Or it could be one of the following : * I am a jerk. *I don’t care about where I live . *Mummy still cleans up after me. * All of the above . Taking a little pride in where you live can have many positive affects on mental health as well . Community is much more than belonging to something, it's about doing something together that makes belonging matter. To leave the world better than you found it, sometimes you have to pick up other peoples trash. Hope you all have a fantastic , postive , and blesses rest of your day 🤗

🚯 Bristol Airport🚯 Today, a group of Bristol Airport team members spent the morning litter picking on land near to the airport site 🚮 A total of 7 bags of rubbish were collected and a large quantity recycled ♻️ Today's clean-up supports the ongoing regular litter picking carried out by a specialist contractor employed by the Airport to remove discarded rubbish in the area. Well done to all involved 💙

🚯Riverside Holiday Village🚯 A massive thank you to all of the lovely volunteers from Riverside Holiday Village and Edithmead Leisure and Park Homes who took part in our 2-mile litter pick along Bridgwater Road this morning in support of Surfers Against Sewage #MillionMileClean 👍 A little bit later than planned, but we got there in the end! We collected 13 sacks of litter, plus part of a tyre and one fire extinguisher!! We'll keep you posted about the next one!

🚯Libby Watts🚯 Took the car for its MOT yesterday at a local garage (well… not that local to me!). With no buses running, I ended up walking there and back – about a 3-mile stroll each way. Last time I walked that route I was shocked by how much rubbish was in the hedgerows on the Moors road, so this time I came prepared with my litter picker. Bag in hand, I picked until it was full – plastic bottles, beer cans, energy drinks, takeaway wrappers, you name it. Definitely not recycling-bin overflow….this was very much car-chucked rubbish. One full bag on the way there, another on the way back. Not the safest of routes, but about 99% of drivers were brilliant – slowed down, gave me space. A couple though seemed determined to challenge me to some kind of duel 🙄. Anyway – here are the results of my efforts in photos. Not all of it by a long stretch but 2 less bags of litter in our countryside 🌳 Oh, and the car passed its MOT! 😁👍🏼
